Lady GaGa's new album is witty with variety

Chealsey Fischer

Lady Gaga does not disappoint with her new album, “The Fame Monster.” Most of the songs on this new eight-song album are upbeat and feature techno beats in the background, though she has a way of not making them all sound the same. This is quite an achievement, as most techno songs have the same steady, repeating beat.

The songs on this album are fun and catchy. It was only my first time hearing them and I caught myself singing along. I was shocked because I had not heard the songs before, but that is Lady Gaga's gift. It seems every time I hear one of her songs, it never takes long to learn it and sing along as I'm blasting the music in my car.

I was already a fan before I heard this album but I had noticed that she hasn’t had any slow songs to hit the radio yet. As I was listening to the CD, I heard the song “Speechless,” a slow song about heartbreak. I'm hoping radio stations will pick it up next. Even Lady Gaga's sad song is catchy and is tied for my favorite along with the song “So Happy I Could Die.”

The Fame Monster features Lady Gaga's newest hit entitled “Telephone” featuring Beyonce, along with “Bad Romance” and is available as a stand- alone album or in a deluxe edition featuring all the songs from her first album, “The Fame.”
