Two finalists chosen for administrative position

Two finalists have been chosen for the vice president for college advancement administrative position, according to an all-staff e-mail sent Thursday by Sheri Mosher, associate director of human resources.

The successful candidate would be in charge of the Office of College Advancement, which is involved in the marketing of Mt. Hood Community College.

Mosher said in the e-mail that the two candidates will be on campus today for employee forums that are open to the public from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 11:15 a.m. to noon in the Visual Arts Theatre.

Feedback forms will be available at the forums and will be given to President John Sygielski for review following the public meeting.

For those unable to attend, the forums will be taped and posted on the college intranet along with feedback forms.

Mosher said all feedback forms will need to be submitted by Monday at 5 p.m. to ensure time for Sygielski to review them.

While on campus, the finalists will also meet with the staff of the Office of College Advancement, the board members of the MHCC Foundation and the president’s cabinet.

Sygielski said May 27 that he hoped to have someone in the position by July 1. The position has been vacant since last fall when Al Sigala was relieved of his duties.

For more information about the forums, contact Mosher at 503-491-7630.
