MHCC President John Sygielski was selected to be on the Oregon Hospice Association’s board of directors on Jan. 29.
“It was a pleasant surprise to be selected considering there are many people deserving of such an honor,” said Sygielski.
Responsibilities of OHA board members include “advocating for the organization and those it serves” and “helping to identify additional sources of revenue for the organization to continue its mission-critical activities,” said Sygielski.
Sygielski also said that he hopes to further the mission of the OHA to promote high quality hospice and comfort care to Oregonians, as well as seeking “opportunities to establish relationships and partnerships between Mt. Hood Community College and the OHA.”
He will have his first board meeting with the OHA in April.
