ASG honors MHCC employees as heroes

MHCC’s Student Activity Board is recognizing three MHCC employees as “Unsung Heroes” for their service to students.

This year’s recipients are Shannon Valdivia, speech instructor and forensics team adviser; Christy Weigel, Orientation Center coordinator; and Craig Marks, audiovisual technician.

The SAB will host an event from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Union paying tribute to the trio.

Jordyn Anderson, SAB receptions coordinator, said the award is for “MHCC employees who students feel go above and beyond the call of duty and consistently provide service to students without calling attention to themselves.”
