ASG ELECTIONS

From noon to 2 p.m. on April 8 and 9, students can meet the candidates running for 2019-20 Associated Student Government president and vice president, in the Main Mall. On April 10, from noon to 2 p.m., the candidates will present their platforms in the Main Mall. Polls for the election will open at 12:01 a.m. on April 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on the 24th. Students can cast their vote in person inside the Student Union or online at mhcc.edu/asg/vote.aspx. The election results will be announced at noon on April 25 in the Student Union.

Consent & Healthy Relationships

This takes place 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in the Fireplace Lounge in the Student Union. In recognition of April being  Sexual Assault Awareness month, Raphael House will be leading the workshop. MHCC staff will share information on resources available on campus.

East Multnomah County’s Economy 

Panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities for attracting and retaining jobs in East Multnomah County. Hosted by the City Club of Portland, the event runs 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in the College Theatre at MHCC. Light refreshments will be served.

ASG Budget Forums 

This event, which runs 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, will offer Mt. Hood students and community members specifics on what student fees get spent on. It is a chance to ask questions; student government leaders will be there to assist. Refreshments will be provided.

Gresham Saturday Market 

The first Saturday Market of the season kicks off on April 13, and runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Saturday through September 28. Located in parking lot “W” at the corner of Northeast Kane Drive and Southeast Stark Street. For more information go to greshamsaturdaymarket.com

Spring Career Fair 

The fair runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Vista Dining Hall on Friday, April 15. All current MHCC students, alumni and community members may look for employment opportunities and internships, or just explore what other career choices are available. This is an opportunity to speak to experts in numerous fields.

Spring Club Fair 

Held in the Student Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 15-16, this gives students a great opportunity to learn more about the clubs offered at MHCC and ways to become more involved. A representative from each club will be there to answer questions.

District Board Meeting

On April 17 the Mt. Hood Community College District Board of Education will meet in the Board Room (AC 2359) at 6:30 p.m.
