Incoming SEED students need host families

Host families are needed for SEED students from Aug. 10 to May 2014.

The students from countries such as: Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Mexico and Nicaragua can participate in a two-year certificate program.

In a press release, SEE Program  Coordinator Nikki Gillia said, “SEED students come from humble families, and are awarded SEED scholarships based on their outstanding academic achievement and community leadership after a rigorous and highly-competitive selection process.”

To be eligible, host families must be in East Multnomah County and within a mile of public transportation. They will receive $290 to cover room and board.
