MHCC honor society wins national awards

Rho Theta, MHCC’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, won two national awards at the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention in Nashville last week.

The honor society won a Distinguished College Project Award for College Completion Signing Days, which were held in September to encourage students to set academic goals. Rho Theta was also recognized as one of 27 Distinguished Chapters, representing the top 10 percent of chapters in the organization.

These students will be honored at the annual induction ceremony, May 31 at 7 p.m. in the Visual Arts Theater.
